5 Things Making Me Happy #9

December 26, 2014

I love the week of Christmas and I’m always a little sad when it’s over. Let’s not focus on that, instead lets talk about some fun things that have been going on this week….

1. This recipe for Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread as soon as it’s gone I want to make more!

2. This 14 minute Power Plank Workout

Believe me you will be sweating and feeling the burn…great workout!

3. Christmas Eve Run! Even if it was soggy, rainy weather it was still nice to get some exercise in before all of the indulgences of the next few days!

4. These Flourless Double Chocolate Brownies! I have already made them twice in the last week and I plan to make them again before this year is over…they are that good!

5 Things Making Me Happy #6

December 5, 2014

Can you believe that we have already made it through the first week of December! I really need it to slow down. November and December are definitely my 2 favorite months, filled with excitement, family, and friends! It is a great time to reflect on all the wonderful people and things we have in our life. I have no shortage of things making me happy this week!

1. Afternoon walks in December with temperatures in the 70’s!

In the winter months I definitely appreciate living in the South! I’m not sure I could handle freezing temps and snow for weeks or months at a time.

2. Hanging out with Santa and enjoying having the trees and decorations up!

My few minutes of morning quiet time is just that much nicer with the glow of the lights on the Christmas tree! I’ve decided for the month of the December to wake up 15 minutes earlier in the morning than I usually do so I have a little extra time to soak it all in! 🙂

3. These itty bitty Crimson Gold Apples!

I mean how cute are these!?! They taste delicious too!

4. These Oreo truffles!

It’s probably a good thing I only make these around the holidays because they are seriously ADDICTIVE!

5. The Piano Guys

I have been listening to their albums almost non stop this week. When I’m out running, getting dressed in the mornings, cooking, you name it!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Name one thing that made you smile this week?

5 Things Making Me Happy! #5

November 28, 2014

Nothing makes me happier than buying gifts for other people. I keep lists all year long of things that I hear my friends and family mention that they like so that I can surprise them with it later on! Often times I am at a loss when I’m asked what do you want for Christmas….I mean I know that there are things that I’ve seen while browsing online or out shopping, but unless I make an effort to write it down or snap a picture then I’ll probably forget all about it! So this year I am making a Wish List!

Christmas-Wishlist

1. Oakley Active Sunglasses

I need new sunglasses for running and these look perfect!

2. Absolutely Avocados

Avocados are apart of my life EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! If I had to pick just one food to eat it this is what it would probably be. So an entire book about them sounds fabulous to me!

3.  Fabletics

I cannot wait to try out some of their activewear so a GC to here would be perfect! I love all the styles and all the bright fun colors!

4. Veggetti

I cannot wait to use this to make zucchini “pasta” and other fun creations!

5. This Black Heart Traveler Mug from Starbucks

I am a sucker for new mugs and I cannot get over the cuteness of this one!

It’s Christmas Every Month With Birchbox!

May 13, 2013

This is my second month receiving Birchbox.  I absolutely love it! In fact when I receive the email saying it has shipped out I am absolutely giddy. The thing I really love about Birchbox is that you get to try out all different kinds of lifestyle and beauty samples for $10 a month and that includes shipping. You really cannot beat that.  I like to try new products but I am always hesitant to spend $30 or $40 dollars for a product that I’m not even sure I’m going to like.  So, Birchbox solves that problem for me!  Also sometimes the samples you receive are full size products, awesome!  On their website you are able customize the boxes to some of your preferences, like skin types or what kind of products you like to use.

Here is what is in my May Birchbox:

May Birchbox

Beauty Protector | Protect & Detangle : Great for all hair types, this nourishing elixir locks in color, adds shine, and instantly detangles.

COOLA | Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face : This mineral sunblock is infused with organic antiaging ingredients like evening primrose extract and borage seed oil.

Joie | Folle de Joie eau de parfum : For its debut scent, the chic fashion brand created this carefree mix of mandarin, rose and sandalwood.

Sumita | Color Contrast Eyeliner : Inspired by traditional Indian formulas, this velvety liner glides on easily and lasts for hours.

My Beauty Extra was Tweezerman | Matchbox Itty Bitty Nail Files : Keep these cute mini files in your purse to fix mani mishaps.

I cannot wait to try out all of these products but I think the one I’m most excited about this month is COOLA. I love that it is organic and that is a mineral sunblock!

Questions for Today :

Are you a Birchbox fan?  What did you receive in your box this month?
