What I Ate Wedneday

July 17, 2013

What I Ate Wednesday is a weekly peek into what I’m eating throughout the day. These are the meals and snacks that I had on Tuesday. Follow along and comment with what you ate!

So this morning I knew we had plans to go to Panera for breakfast so I decided not to have any coffee at home because I wanted to have a soy mocha at Panera.  I find it so incredibly hard to do this.  It is like my morning is not right until I have some kind of coffee.  It is just comforting and “right.”  But I pushed through and waited til we got to Panera. 🙂  At home I started my morning with my smoothie which consisted of apple, celery, cilantro, ginger, lemon, kale, chia seeds and water.

Once we got to Panera I had my soy mocha and I had an egg and spinach on whole grain toast.  It was delicious and hit the spot!

For lunch I had leftovers which were fabulous.  I will have to put the recipe for it on the blog in a few days.  It was Mexican Cabbage that I made the night before.  I topped it with a few crumbled sweet potato tortilla chips, cholula and avocado!  I can’t tell you how good this was.  With it I had some Gingerberry Kombucha.  I think Gingerberry might be my favorite flavor so far, although I have loved all the ones I have tried.

Later in the afternoon I had two cups of gunpowder “green tea” with mint and half of one of my favorite brownies from Whole Foods.  It’s Gluten and Dairy free which I love!

After the pool I made this wonderfully refreshing smoothie. Frozen Mango chunks, an orange, and spinach, then a little water and ice.

For dinner I had 1/2 sweet potato, some beets that I roasted in the oven earlier in the day, steamed broccoli with some ginger chili sauce on it, and Ian’s fish sticks that I originally picked up for my girls but I decided to have some myself.  One of the reasons I bought these are because they are Gluten, Dairy, Soy and Nut Free and they are quite tasty!

To finish up my night I had 2 cups of my Turmeric, Ginger and Cinnamon Tea.

and that concludes another WIAW!

Question:

What is your favorite kind of tea to drink?
