What I Ate Wednesday

July 3, 2013

What I Ate Wednesday is a weekly peek into what I’m eating throughout the day. These are the meals and snacks that I had on Tuesday. Follow along and comment with what you ate!

Had my morning coffee in my new Anthropologie mug which made me smile. 🙂

For breakfast I made a smoothie with pear, celery, parsley, dandelion greens, flax, lemon, and kale. I love these smoothies, so refreshing and a great way to start the day!

Right before lunch I made a cup of green ginger tea.

For lunch I made a chipotle black bean burger using millet bread. If you have never used millet bread I highly recommend giving it a try. It is a healthier gluten free alternative to wheat bread. I topped the burger with tomatoes, spinach, onions, ketchup and mustard.  Had a half a sweet potato and dill pickle on the side.

For an afternoon snack I had some Kombucha and a Luna Smores bar.

Instead of making a pre dinner smoothie like I usually do I decided I wanted a juice from Earthfare. It was sooooo good!

Dinner was some cilantro chicken wontons from Trader Joes, these little things are delicious.  I like to dip mine in a little sweet ginger chili sauce made by The Ginger People. I also ate the other half of my sweet potato with it.

For something sweet I had a little piece of this chocolate bar that I also picked up from Earthfare.

I usually always make my own Ginger and Turmeric tea but I recently discovered Rishi’s Ginger and Turmeric Tea and it is delicious.  I had 2 cups of it before going to bed.

and that concludes WIAW!
