5 Things I’m Loving…

I have so many polishes but right now this one is my favorite.  When I am unsure of what I want to wear I reach for Deborah Lippmann “Happy Birthday.” It’s fun but not obnoxious!

Lately I’ve found whenever I am craving something sweet if I drink this tea it really helps to satisfy that need. Peppermint and Licorice is good for you and it taste sweet so it kind of tricks my body without reaching for chocolate which is what I really want to do. 🙂

Pukka Peppermint and Licorice

For about a week now I’ve been revisiting some old favorites from Arcade Fire. I had really forgotten how much I loved their music. It is hard to pick a favorite because I really love so many of their songs but I’ve been playing this one a lot lately!

Quinoa is one of my favorite and one of the most versatile foods I enjoy! I basically use it anywhere I would use rice and I also enjoy it in salads and kale scrambles that I make. Honestly there are not many places that I wouldn’t use it.

Anyone who knows me knows that one of my favorite shows to watch is House Hunters, but lately I am equally hooked on Island Hunters that started about a month ago on HGTV. Now I am a little obsessed with figuring out how we can own our very own private island! Talk about AWESOME! eek! It’s great to have goals right! 🙂

Dark Chocolate Avocado Cookies

I made these on Wednesday and they are seriously amazing. The only thing I did was add 1/2 tsp of xanthan gum, the recipe didn’t call for it but since it’s gluten free xanthan gum helps with the texture.

Do you like to make fresh juice, if so how often? I love it, I only do it once a day (in the morning) simply because I HATE cleaning the juicer. 🙂

What is the last thing you ate? A big bowl of chili, which was perfect in this icy cold weather!

Have a GREAT weekend!

five things I’m loving…

This book…I think it brings out the sociologist in me. 🙂 I’m about 50 pages in and it is fantastic!

The Gift of Imperfection

Took a trip to Sephora last weekend and came out with a new eyeliner and shadow. Been using them for a week and I love them both. I wanted a very natural looking liner and Urban Decay Smog fits the bill.  I went in to look at the Naked 3 Palette but I just wasn’t sure  I wanted to spend $52 on eyeshadow. I thought I would buy one of the single shadows from Urban Decay to see what I thought.  Well it’s amazing so…….Naked 3 might have to happen one day soon! 🙂

Urban Decay Eye Liner and Shadow

Relaxing and enjoying some tea! During the winter I think I do this about 4 times a day!

Tea and Anthropologie Mug

Stopped in at Ikea on Tuesday when we were on our way home from SC.  I could spend all day there, but we had to make it a quick stop since we were traveling. Still had a great time and picked up a few items 😉 I mean has anyone ever gone into Ikea and not bought something….I think it is impossible!

Improvement! I love when I can actually see it, great motivation.

Any fun plans this weekend? We were on the go last weekend so I think this weekend will mostly be spent at home catching up on things.

Do you sleep in on the weekends? My body clock usually does not allow this. I am pretty much programmed to get up at the same time everyday.

Have a GREAT weekend!
