Hi Friends, here we are again at Friday! How has your week been? Any fun weekend plans?
I’m starting the 21 Day Fix tomorrow and I am excited! I feel as though I eat healthy most of the time so that part will not be that different for me but the 21 Day Fix really helps you to be more mindful of your portions and how much you are eating and making sure you get a good balance of foods. I am also excited to do the workouts. I usually always default to running or some kind of Hiit workout, it will be nice to shake it up a little. Not to mention being motivated by others on the team.
Now on to some of my favorite things from this week….
Breaking Bad
First I cannot believe I waited so long to give this show a shot. Jim watched it from the beginning and it quickly became his all time favorite. I honestly just wasn’t interested in it and never watched a single episode until this summer. It actually turned out to be a good thing because I’ve been watching it on Netflix and I can watch as many episodes as I want instead of watching them 1 at a time. I mean how boring is that?! Point is it’s a fantastic show if you are like me, one of the crazies that didn’t get in on it at the beginning DO SO NOW! On a sad note I’m on the last season and will be going through withdrawals soon! 🙁
Turmeric Root
Why is this exciting you ask? Well I can now find this at my local grocery store, which is helpful since I use it daily! You see I live in a small town where I have to travel close to 2 hrs to go to Whole Foods, Trader Joes, The Fresh Market, etc…you get my point. So this convenience is nice and kind of made my day. 🙂
This Song
This ChapStick
I have been out of this for a few months and remembered to pick one up yesterday. I had forgotten how much I love this. Out of all the ChapSticks it is definitely my favorite.
Marie Callender’s Peach Pie
Let me explain this one. I’ve never really been a pie person. When I eat sweets I usually gravitate towards cookies, brownies, and cake. Several weeks ago while I was in Atlanta we went to Shack Shack and I got their Peach Pie Concrete. They get the pie they mix into the concrete from a local restaurant in Atlanta and OMG was it amazing. So good I got it 2 days in a row. Anyway, since then peach pie has kind of become my thing. The other night I was really craving it and I didn’t have hours to actually make one myself. I did a quick search to see what would be the best one I could buy and that, my friends, is how I found Marie Callender’s Peach Pie. It is fantastic. The crust is my absolute favorite part. Yum!
I’m linking up today with Heather, Katie, and Clare!
What has been making you smile this week?
